How to Find a Primary Care Physician

A primary care physician is the first point of contact for a patient when accessing healthcare. Primary care physicians attend to a patient’s general healthcare needs and refer patients to specialists when necessary. They are advocates for the patient’s health. Most primary care doctors practice internal medicine, family practice, general practice or pediatrics.

To the left are multiple options to help you find the right primary care physician for you or members of your family. First choose “Adult” or “Child.” Enter the criteria for as many fields as you want. You do not have to fill in all fields. Searching by zip code will provide physician results within a 10-mile radius of the zip code. The more fields you complete, the more specific the results will be.
